Upgraded blue blockers with red lenses. These are also our own brand and block blue and green light. Green light can also have an impact on melatonin and if you are able to it’s best to block all green light. I will say that these glasses make it hard to see at night, so we recommend you use them at home, or whenever you are out and about indoors. Daytime Blueblockers – are used when you are on a screen all day or working in a room without access to natural light. They don’t block all blue light, nor should they. They block some of the blue light to mitigate any damage this may be doing to our eyes during the day. ($49.99)

Uvex blocks all blue and are used in clinical studies for melatonin preservation after dark. ($8)

Daytime Blue Light
If you are in a windowless room, under LED and fluorescent lights all day and staring at screens, it’s helpful to block blue light during the day. Never do this outside, but only inside under artificial light. Too much of this can cause macular degeneration, headaches, eye strain and likely cancer.

When you’re out in the morning sun, TAKE OFF your glasses or contacts.
It also helps to be grounded to the earth, meaning barefoot. In the winter that’s pretty hard to do, so we recommend grounding straps that go over your boot and tuck into your sock. They take 4 seconds to put on in the morning over your shoe or boot.
Grounding Heel Straps ($14)
After dark, you can use no lights, which is ideal. Candles, then Red Light, then black light, then low color temperature LED, then incandescent.
Add this light to any room for healing wavelengths of red light. We use these in our bathroom and the closet in our bedroom.
If you want a traditional bulb size in an incandescent, these are ideal.
And for a low flicker red LED bulb, try this.
If you have kids and must have a nightlight for them, please use red so you don’t destroy their melatomin while they sleep.

Controversial, yet probably effective. Black lights are really ultraviolet lights. Some people say they will not affect melatonin or circadian rhythm at night and others claim they will keep you healthy if you use them all winter. I’m not sure the validity of any of that, but I do use a black light strip behind my desk in the winter and at night. Here’s what I use.
In the winter, we lack red, infrared and UV light. We spend all day inside, and when we go outside, we are bundled up. We should really make up for this lack by supplementing with extra light whenever we can and our opinion is that this keeps us healthier. Enter SaunaSpace. Saunaspace is a portable pocket sauna. Block Blue Light from your laptop at night and during the day. Blue light during the day without red and infrared can cause major issues. Nighttime is worse.
Iris is an app for your laptop that allows you to block blue light from your screen. It works better than any other blue light blocking software out there. You can check how much blue is being blocked by going to this LINK and looking at the blue to see if any shows through your screen or it looks black.
Twilight app for Android – on our phones, the twilight app is the best blue blocker we have found.
iPhone – use the Nightshift in your brightness settings and you can also use this link to turn your screen red and remove ALL blue light.
Getting Naked in the sun is ideal for optimal health. Not everyone can do this, and so there are bathing suits that allow you to be naked without being naked
